Change of events.

It looks like I won't be able to have my surgery on Monday. Early this morning we found out that my mom's dad past away. He hasn't been doing well for a while now, but it's unfortunate that it had to happen right before my surgery. I called my surgeon's emergency line to leave him a message asking if I could reschedule my surgery. I'm just hoping that A) I can reschedule because I don't want to be selfish and make a family member miss out on his funeral and B) That I don't have to wait forever to get a new date.

This was not what I was wanting to wake up to, but at least it happened before my surgery and not right after my surgery and I'm super swallow.

I'll update you guys when I know more.

3/2/13 10:57 am: I talked to my surgeon and he said it's possible to have my surgery on Friday instead, but I have to call his office Monday morning and talk to his scheduler.

Yesterday I made another YouTube video about my surgery.

    1. Thanks Kristie. The funeral is going to be on Tuesday so I'm driving up tomorrow. I have soooo many hooks in my mouth and the ones on the bottom have been cutting up my lip so I've been wearing wax.

  2. Oh no! I'm so sorry for your loss. You have my sincerest condolences, and I think you're an amazing person for rescheduling. If you go Friday, we'll both be going in on the same day. Surgery buddies for realzies. Wishing you and your family peace, love, and light during this time.

    1. Thanks for the kind words Adrienne. That would be one awesome coincidence if I end up having my surgery on the same day as you now, I'll know tomorrow what my new surgery date is going to be.

  3. Thank you Chloe. We've known that it was going to happen soon, so it's not as hard as it is when it's a sudden loss, but still hard.
